Topcon Agriculture provides intelligent, integrated and connected precision farming solutions for planning and data management as well as machine automation for seeding, spraying, spreading, harvesting, animal feeding and on-board weighing. Solutions include advanced technology for guidance and autosteering systems, ISOBUS, GNSS positioning, crop monitoring, water conservation, landfarming and software solutions. Position: Regional Sales Manager – Central and Eastern Europe

The Regional Sales Manager has responsibility for creating and implementing a strategy to drive Topcon’s sales and reputation within the assigned region for both Aftermarket and local OEM business.

The candidate will be Responsible for the business activity in the following countries:

Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Serbia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Croatia, Greek, Slovenia plus Baltic region (Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia)

Aftermarket Development

  • Develop business plans and sales strategies for the market that ensures reaching company’s sales goals.
  • Initiate and coordinate the development of action plans to manage and grow the local OEM business, including initiating and managing channel collaboration initiatives in order to fully leverage local OEM and Aftermarket channels.
  • Initiate and coordinate the development of action plans to manage and grow existing aftermarket distribution while developing new potential distribution channels and market segments (ie. Disruptive channels such as Feed Advisory / Feed Companies).
  • Manage aftermarket distribution channels for assigned region; in some cases acting as the main point of contact for clients and maintaining client relationships.
  • Identify and develop necessary sales and marketing plans and tools targeted at both the distributors end users. This includes working with Topcon’s marketing department on social media, articles, advertising, and trade shows.
  • Establish sales and revenue objectives on an annual and quarterly basis.
  • Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding market trends and performance.
  • Collaborate with Topcon OEM Sales Team and distributor to ensure consistent and harmonised approach to the market.
  • Provide input to Product Management, Engineering, and other Topcon stakeholders regarding market demands and future trends.
  • Interface with universities, industry associations, etc. to establish Topcon as a well-known brand in the market.
  • Conduct sales and technical training for distribution channels within region.

Local OEM Account Management

  • Responsible for existing local OEM accounts to manage all aspects of the relationship between them and Topcon Agriculture.
  • Presenting Topcon Agriculture’s capabilities to solve and satisfy customer needs, both from a marketing and engineering perspective.
  • Defining customer project needs and communicating them to the appropriate Topcon Agriculture personnel.
  • Managing and contributing to the project tasks and communicating progress to the customer.
  • Managing delivery of products to customers to include training, documentation, promotional material, etc.
  • Communicating critical concerns of customers to management.
  • Ensuring exemplary communication and documentation between Topcon Agriculture and the customer.
  • Providing required sales forecasts for each assigned account.

Minimum Job Requirements For The Job

  • Minimum 5 years of experience on equivalent position
  • Demonstrated experience managing and retaining key accounts;
  • Previous experience in the precision agriculture or agricultural machinery sector;
  • Commercial acumen and negotiation skills;
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships along with good analytical skills to understand the needs and requirements of client;
  • Strong communication and presentation skills;
  • Strong persuasion and influencing skills with the ability to negotiate as required.;
  • Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks;
  • Ability to build and lead a sales team;
  • Degree in Engineering, Business, Agriculture, or equivalent work experience.
  • Fluent in English Language – other European languages are considered a plus
