Job Summary

As the AVP of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in driving our company's growth and expansion within the BFSI sector. Your primary focus will be to lead and expand the sales team, strategize and execute sales plans, and build strong relationships with key clients. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our data intelligence solutions are aligned with the industry's evolving needs and our clients' strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base in the BFSI sector.
  • Lead and mentor the sales team to enhance performance, ensuring they meet or exceed sales targets and customer satisfaction levels.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, understanding their needs and ensuring our services exceed their expectations.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to align sales strategies with product offerings tailored to the BFSI sector's needs.
  • Provide insights into product development and competitive positioning based on customer feedback and market trends.
  • Oversee the sales pipeline, forecasts, and sales strategies, utilizing CRM systems for maximum efficiency and visibility.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  • Prepare and present reports on sales performance, goals, and potential revenue streams to executive management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven sales executive experience, with a track record of successfully leading a sales team and meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Deep understanding of the BFSI sector and its regulatory environment.
  • Strong business acumen with a strategic ability to drive sales growth in new and existing markets.
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.
  • Superior negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level.
  • Experience with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Availability to travel as needed.
