As our VP of Sales - Americas you will be responsible for leading direct outbound sales activities and be primarily accountable for the region's revenue goals. You have a track record of overachieving in high-growth, enterprise SaaS environments (preferably vertical SaaS) and have actively contributed to building high-performance sales organizations. The role will require you to manage a results oriented team while implementing appropriate systems, process and prioritization to support revenue goals. It is critical that you have led, and successfully built upon, a rapidly growing SaaS business from ~$10M in annual recurring revenue with six/seven figure annual contract values. You have the grit, hustle and appetite to both lead direct sales individually and build and scale a team underneath you.

You will work closely with the SVP and GM Americas to develop the plan and roadmap for growth. You will action revenue and profitability targets while orchestrating the strategy and roadmap to bring new customers to the platform and to improve the success of Neara's current customer base.

We are not just looking for a strong individual contributor, you will need to be a strong sales leader, mentor and role model who knows how to drive and coach a successful sales team and who understands which levers to pull to deliver exceptional sales performance in an enterprise SaaS environment. In an ideal world, you have also had experience within our industry (i.e. electricity utilities) or an infrastructure vertical industry, however, this is not a pre-requisite. .

Some of the things you will contribute to:

  • Evolve and execute the overall sales strategy, aligning it with the organization's goals and objectives. Define sales targets, quotas, and KPIs and ensure their achievement through effective planning and resource allocation.
  • Identify, develop and manage sales channels to market, and any third-party relationship related to the same, including with respect to vendors and channel/distribution partners.
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to expand the customer base and increase sales opportunities.
  • Regularly analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to make informed business decisions.
  • Identify risks and opportunities in the sales pipeline and take proactive measures to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies impacting the sales function.

Some attributes we highly regard:

  • 10+ years' work experience in enterprise SaaS business development, sales and commercial roles, specifically in the utility or infrastructure industries.
  • Experience forecasting and managing budgets or financial metrics frameworks effectively.
  • Strong experience with the sale of high ACV enterprise SaaS products.
  • Understanding the landscape of sales methodologies including Solution, Relationship and Challenger.
  • Proven experience working in a team focused, regional organization.
  • Experience with complex software products and a curiosity to understand them.
  • Low ego but high grit, hustle and love of the sales game.
