Overview: The VP Sales has the primary responsibility to achieve maximum sales profitability, market penetration, and growth in assigned territory by effectively selling products and services that result in a positive customer experience. The role involves strategic planning, managing people, selling, leveraging technology and improving processes. You will be accountable for managing sales specialists in Data Integrity, Location Intelligence and Data Sets, and Data Integration. The aim is to grow the strategic areas for Precisely sales within the region through both direct and channel.

What You Will Do

  • Grow license, data and professional services sales across the portfolio
  • Lead and coach the sales team to execute on the strategy and focus sales plays
  • Support the sales team in the region to qualify opportunities in named accounts and via channel partners
  • Manage demand generation activities within the team and carefully curate pipeline
  • Work closely with field marketing and business development/prospecting teams, owning the qualification of leads through to closure
  • Work closely with the Channels team to optimize and expand the partner network
  • Interface with product management, providing customer, partner and field feedback
  • Drive strong sales discipline including pipeline and forecast management; coaching the sales teams in pipeline management, sales progression, forecasting and seeking assistance/help.
  • Provide accurate forecasting and achieve quarterly budget requirements
  • Provide management support to the team through regular 1:1’s, quarterly business planning and annual appraisal, ensuring each team member is achieving their potential

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience desired
  • 8-10 year of experience as Senior Sales Director with enterprise software and services sales background and proven success of both high-end solution and product sales
  • Deep product knowledge of enterprise software for data management
  • Track record in the management, motivation and development of sales teams
  • Proven history of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets quarter on quarter as well as annual basis
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to develop new opportunities
  • Successful at creating and executing sales strategies and building pipeline
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills
  • Strong problem solving and conflict management skills
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Travel is required: Approximately 33% overnight travel required. Evening and weekend work, as needed.
