Highlights of the role :

He/She is responsible for the definition and execution of tests campaign as part of the Integration, Verification and Validation activities for Satellite Systems Ground Segments (G/S). He/She shall work in an integrated IVV team for the preparation and execution of the test campaigns of complex systems.


  • Contribute to scheduling, preparation and execution of the IVV campaigns
  • Requirements verification test method definition (DVCMs)
  • Test Scenarios definition
  • IVV Plans and procedures preparation
  • Participate in the execution of test procedures using the approved IVV plans and in agreement with the test campaigns, including contribution to Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) and Test Review Board meetings (TRBs)
  • Prepare test execution and reports
  • Investigation and analysis of anomalies
  • Participate to formal reviews and key points
  • Support the Technical Manager in the IVV duties

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Master's Degree or equivalent from an institution of higher education in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science or related fields
  • At least 4 years of experience

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in IV&V activities of complex systems
  • Knowledge of software verification and validation techniques
  • Experience in system engineering activities
  • Knowledge of IT/ground segment technologies: relational databases, virtualization, networking, SW deployment tools, etc.
  • Good knowledge of Windows and Linux
  • Good English knowledge

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of space and ground system engineering processes, and system and software life-cycles and standards (e.g. ECSS)
  • Knowledge of Agile/DevOps models and related testing approach (e.g. Jenkins)
  • Knowledge of containers technology and related environments (e.g. Dockers, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of Cloud-based infrastructure and applications, microservices architectures
  • Knowledge of Networking, Network Protocols and related issues
  • Knowledge of shell scripting
