The Weather Company’s (TWCo) advertising sales division, uses the world’s leading artificial intelligence (AI) technology to unlock data and insights to help marketers make better decisions. We offer trusted, insight-driven media and data solutions that can be deployed across a brand’s entire marketing strategy to drive results.

The Weather Company is seeking a Strategic Account Lead on the Growth & Demand Team. This role is responsible for working directly with partners to drive demand and sales for media, data and technology solutions across brands, agencies and clients in the ecosystem. The ideal Strategic Account Lead will be comfortable selling and managing complex AI-driven media campaigns and will focus on partnerships across all verticals. Must possess a consultative sales approach and have the ability to educate clients and agencies (at every level) around new and emerging opportunities within the media landscape.

The Strategic Account Lead is the 'tip of the spear' for all client strategy and engagement; while working as a team player within TWCo to exceed goals. You will be primarily responsible for closing new business, as well as maintaining and growing existing clients.

The Impact You'll Make

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, agencies and prospects
  • Create and maintain trust with marketing decision makers through consultative selling approach
  • Manage customer/client relationships through full sales cycle revenue
  • Lead account planning, relationship mapping, pipeline development and revenue forecasting for the book of business
  • Work with all available sources to identify potential customers
  • Work collaboratively with internal cross functional teams to develop client solutions and proposals that drive results
  • Provide excellent customer service and steward internal resources to meet client needs
  • Manage expenses responsibly

What You've Accomplished

  • Excitement & curiosity of creative solutions to meet customer needs
  • Minimum of 5 years Media Sales and/or agency experience
  • Ability to provide specific examples of how you have built relationships and revenue on net new business
  • Possess relationships and comprehensive list of clients and agency contacts
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts across verticals, identify top opportunities and ramp quickly
  • A love of problem solving, with a history of working closely with your clients as a genuine partner
  • Comfortable using data and insights as the centerpiece of compelling storytelling
  • Passionate about building and scaling revenue in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiar with relevant sales tools
  • Detailed and regular engagement with CRM platform
  • Flexible with adjusting to new initiatives
