What's the role?

Senior Quality Specialist will be part of Risk & Americas Continuous Improvement team and responsible for supporting Platform Foundation Risk Management framework by driving risk culture, helping pro-active risk identification, and integrating risk management into decision making. The candidate will also support identifying, analyzing, and improving existing business processes by leveraging Lean Six Sigma framework to achieve higher levels of product quality and operational excellence throughout key functions of the value chain. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and focus on business performance that constantly strives to eliminate waste, reduce cost, and improve customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities

  • Reduces product delivery risk by leading cross functional Process and Design FMEA sessions
  • Identifies potential delivery risk exposures, recommends solutions, implements approved improvements and monitors compliance
  • Educates and trains employees on risk process, risk awareness and prevention measures
  • Plans, performs, and implements process improvement initiatives across the organization by following Lean Six Sigma framework
  • Accountable for project level results, personal and team goals
  • Monitors project performance in cooperation with the Project Manager/Production manager/ Product Owner and ensures that preventive and corrective actions have been implemented
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement in the Platform Foundations AQP processes; unites HERE process performance & industry standard frameworks to drive prevention of Customer issues
  • Solves complex problems by applying in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge of standardized tools including FMEA, Pareto charts, 8D’s and Change Management to improve quality planning
  • Conducts process mapping and identifies waste in process steps
  • Provides gap analysis and proposes solutions to improve process efficiency
  • Acts as a resource & promotes best practices for continuous improvement; provides coaching to build team member’s problem-solving skills
  • Measures the outcomes and outputs of process improvement initiatives and leverage analytics to report savings
  • Facilitates workshops and Kaizen events
  • Knowledge of Agile software development methodology, can coach product and development teams on Acceptance Criteria best practices

Who are you?

  • Education level: Bachelor’s degree; preferably in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or similar
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt) preferred
  • 3+ years of related experience on Continuous Improvement
  • 2+ years of related experience on Risk Management
  • English language 100%
  • Excellent communication skills (English and Spanish), and ability to interact effectively at different levels of organization
  • Ability to work within a cross-functional team and a multi-cultural environment
  • Good negotiation and influence skills
  • Strong customer focus
  • Creativity in problem solving
  • Ability to effectively manage time to ensure that work is completed efficiently and on time
