As a Signal Processing Engineer at Ommatidia, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing and advancing our massively parallel LIDAR systems. Your expertise will be instrumental in boosting the precision, resolution, and speed of our cutting-edge instruments. You will be at the forefront of developing methods to extract vital information like velocity, acceleration, and vibration from raw signals. Additionally, you'll contribute to the development of desktop tools for comprehensive post-processing and results visualization.

πŸ” Key Responsibilities:

  • Innovate in R&D by designing and implementing advanced signal processing algorithms for next-gen coherent LiDAR systems.
  • Validate and showcase our processing & visualization pipeline using real-world data scenarios.
  • Seamlessly integrate algorithms into our proprietary software and assist in hardware platform implementation.
  • Craft high-quality data visualizations for both client presentation and academic publication.
  • Optimize algorithms for enhanced performance and efficiency.
  • Develop sophisticated 3D point cloud manipulation tools and methodologies.

πŸ“Š Quality and Marketing Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with our Quality department to align R&D with quality standards.
  • Generate comprehensive documentation for various stakeholders including QC and regulatory bodies.
  • Create technical content for marketing and aid in new product development and requirements gathering.

πŸŽ“ What We're Looking For:

  • A Master’s Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in digital signal processing.
  • Proficiency in English (ALTE-4/C1 or better).
  • Deep understanding of information theory and its practical applications.
  • Advanced Python programming skills.
  • Working knowledge of C/C++.
  • Knowledge of FMCW RADAR/LiDAR systems and MIMO RADAR data processing.
  • Experience in advanced signal processing algorithms and detection & estimation theory.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, adaptability, self-motivation, and organizational prowess.

  • A PhD in MIMO RADAR is highly regarded.
