Candidate will have a degree in Planning, Architecture, or other related field, plus a minimum of three (3) years in physical planning experience in the land development field or the equivalent of eight (8) years of total work experience in the industry.

Candidate Must Demonstrate

  • Independent thought, analysis, and decision-making abilities.
  • Planning abilities in all aspects of physical site design and entitlement projects
  • Design and layout of residential and commercial projects
  • Extensive knowledge of the potential constraints that can influence the development of a project.

Position requires

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organization skills
  • Management abilities

Proficiency In The Following Software Is Desired

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • PPT/Project
  • MicroStation
  • AutoCAD,
  • Adobe Creative Suites
  • ArcGIS Desirable

Project Management Skills

  • Experience in the land development processes for both the private and public sector
  • Knowledge of and experience with local Zoning Codes, Policies, Ordinances, and other City/County guidelines
  • Project research, preliminary concept plans and preliminary engineering design.
  • Review of work, and implementation of quality assurance & control procedures
  • Experience in the preparation and processing of a wide range of planning documents (to include Rezoning Documents, Specific Plans, Due Diligence Reports and Development Applications)
  • Experience in management of projects.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate and present at public meetings.
  • Interacting comfortably and productively with clients and public agencies.
  • Production and coordination of several projects concurrently with internal and external disciplines.

Recent professional experience specific to the Tucson region is a plus!
