Job Description

Using state-of-the-art remote sensing technology, Fugro transforms spatial data into practical knowledge that supports essential resource assessment and mitigation operations, transportation, utilities, emergency and asset management, and infrastructure development.

As P roject Staging and Control Coordinator , you will produce accurate and timely estimates of time and costs for all production phases, including acquisition of aerial data and control, and production of photogrammetric, lidar, and GIS-based map products. You will also produce flight plans, control and tile layouts, and other files used to support project planning and production.

Job Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly review requests for proposals (RFPs) and technical specifications and develop the best approach to meet the technical and schedule requirements and budget expectations.
  • Develop accurate and timely cost estimates.
  • Compile detailed acquisition and production delivery schedules.
  • Ensure all pricing assumptions, caveats, departure from scope, and ambiguity are communicated to operations and business development.
  • Help review initial contract terms & conditions and highlight any threats to Fugro in terms of payment schedule, cash flow, damages, and fees/tax implications.
  • Assist with final contract review and project booking, thoroughly comparing estimated budgets and assumptions against final contract terms, highlighting discrepancies that could lead to project leakage.
  • Communicate opportunities to increase margins at project execution.
  • Work with subcontractors when needed, clearly outlining responsibilities, expectations, and schedules/periods of performance.
  • Clearly outline responsibilities, expectations, and schedules with inter-company entities.
  • Attend go/no-go meetings, proposal kick-offs, project handovers/kick-offs, and project close-outs.

Job Requirements

  • Legally Authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in geospatial sciences, remote sensing, photogrammetry, engineering, or related field of study highly preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in in geospatial mapping or technical work in stereo compilation, editing, digital orthophotography production, lidar, or other related technical area
  • Experience in project coordinating is required, experience with flight and/or fleet coordination is preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Must have a working knowledge of ArcGIS software.
  • Must have the technical depth and creativity to make sound technical decisions and guide and direct project teams and multiple full project cycles.
