The People Operations position at RedCastle Resources is responsible for maintaining and furthering a people-first culture and keeping our team engaged and in active dialogue through forward-thinking, modern people programs. This is a great growth opportunity for an engaged and driven individual seeking a balance of autonomy and well-resourced mentorship. This role will report to the Controller/Head of People Operations.


The successful candidate will have started their career in HR, with an Associate’s or B.S. degree in a related field, who wants a position with lots of room to grow. You need to have the background and knowledge to jump right in, but attitude and aptitude are highly valued. This role includes a diverse set of day-to-day responsibilities listed below:

  • Collect, track, and maintain employee data, across all HR systems and workflows.
  • Be involved with all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, and offboarding.
  • Monitor and assist with all government onboarding requirements.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are current and compliant with local, state, and federal laws - maintaining employee handbooks, workplace posters, and policies.
  • Oversee benefits administration including open enrollment (medical, dental, life, accident, disability) leave of absence, workers’ compensation, COBRA administration, and various state requirements.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and cross-functional stakeholders to build, evolve, and execute processes for scale.
  • Triage inbound employee inquiries and people-related issues and move to resolution in a timely manner.
  • Process timesheets, assist with payroll and benefits payments/uploads.
  • Create and distribute monthly employee newsletter.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Desired Skill Set

  • Your friends and colleagues describe you as an empathetic people person with a high EQ.
  • You have experience in HR, Recruiting, or People Ops at a fast-paced organization and are familiar with HRIS systems.
  • You have experience with benefits admin, HR practices and employment laws.
  • You have impeccable attention to detail and the ability to identify gaps and implement process improvements to make systems more streamlined.
  • You are accountable and are comfortable adjusting to shifting priorities while meeting deadlines — always making sure the job gets done despite any challenges that come your way.
  • You are a quick and relentless learner who is not afraid to dive into complex projects that require critical thinking. You’re eager for information and enjoy teaching others.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with a diversity of people in a high-touch, personalized manner.
  • You can maintain and protect confidential data with great discretion, judgment, and the highest standard of honesty and integrity.

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $48,000 - $62,000. The base salary is just one component of the total compensation package and is determined by a number of factors such as years of experience, expertise, qualifications and more. In addition to base salary, we offer competitive equity packages that play a big part in recognizing you for the huge impact you will have on helping us achieve our mission. Please note, the salary range is a guideline that is subject to change without notice during our recruitment.
