Job Brief

The Weather Company is focused on driving results by continuously improving our marketing strategy and execution. The Media Manager, Consumer App Acquisition will be instrumental in fueling growth through the creation and implementation of marketing campaigns. This role is responsible for driving traffic to website and app properties while ensuring profitability. Working closely with Marketing and Product Managers, this individual will craft impactful strategies that align with our business goals. A passion for mobile marketing, coupled with a forward-thinking mindset and a commitment to staying abreast of industry trends, will be essential for success in this role.

The Impact You'll Make

  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns to drive growth with a focus on app user acquisition
  • Manage and optimize campaigns across various channels such as search, social and display
  • Monitor campaign performance indicators to identify profitable ones
  • Analyze campaign performance data to identify trends, insights and opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across disciplines such as creative, marketing and product to develop campaigns aligned to business objectives
  • Provide regular reporting on key acquisition metrics and performance to stakeholders
  • Manage relationships with external partners such as agencies, ad networks and platforms
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in user acquisition and mobile marketing
  • Identify and evaluate new acquisition channels for testing, incorporating new strategies
  • Lead A/B testing efforts to optimize ad creatives, targeting, and messaging
  • Ability to prioritize requests and partner well in an environment with competing demands
  • Excellent critical-thinking and problem-solving skills

What You've Accomplished

  • At least 4 years of experience in user acquisition and mobile marketing
  • Proven track record of successfully managing user acquisition campaigns for large-scale mobile apps, with a focus on event optimization
  • Strong understanding of mobile measurement tools & methodologies, including SKAdNetwork and MMPs like Adjust, Appsflyer, Branch, etc.
  • Experience working with web and app analytics tools such as Amplitude and Adobe
  • Thorough grasp of key marketing concepts, including customer acquisition costs (CAC), return on investment (ROI), and lifetime value (LTV)
  • Ability to generate reports, develop insights and make continual optimizations
  • Proficiency with Excel is required, experience with data visualization tools is a plus
  • Ability to prioritize requests and partner well in an environment with competing demands
