Job Brief

The Weather Company is focused on driving results by continuously improving our marketing strategy and execution. This person will be responsible for measurement and analysis of marketing programs for The Weather Channel web and app products. In collaboration with Marketing & Product Managers this role will gather and analyze marketing data, generate insights, and contribute to the development of effective marketing strategies which deliver on defined business objectives. The Marketing Analyst will manage marketing analytics end-to-end, from initial collection of marketing performance data through dashboard development for stakeholders using marketing automation tools.

The Impact You'll Make

  • Design and implement end-to-end analytics solutions for effective measurement of marketing activities across different products
  • Execute marketing mix model with support from data science to understand impact of all marketing channel activities to the bottom line
  • Perform quantitative analysis on marketing performance metrics to generate insights, collaborating with marketers to develop strategic programs that drive growth
  • Collaborate with business analytics and engineering teams to understand existing data streams and design enhancements to further develop marketing analytics practice
  • Evaluate and improve established data sets and pipelines
  • Lead design and implementation of reporting/dashboards to measure marketing programs
  • Proficient in storytelling, communication, analytics translation and generating business insights
  • Ability to prioritize requests and partner well in an environment with competing demands
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills

What You've Accomplished

  • At least 2 years of experience in marketing analytics, martech or adtech environments
  • Strong understanding of marketing concepts, including customer acquisition costs, return on investment requirements and lifetime value
  • Experience working with Econometrics or Marketing Mix Modeling and designing A/B testing for multiple strategies preferred
  • Hands on experience with web and app analytics tools: Adobe, Amplitude or other - designing reports and developing insights and optimization recommendations for maximum impact
  • Data visualization tool experience: Datorama/Salesforce Marketing Intelligence, Tableau, Power BI, or Looker with understanding of predictive analytics - designing for long term analysis at scale
  • Proficiency in (at least one) SQL, Python/R programming experience or other scripting languages
  • Familiarity with relational database and data warehouse: Redshift, Snowflake, SQL Server, etc
  • Knowledge of commercial CDPs and marketing use cases: Adobe, mParticle, Segment or other
  • Ability to understand key stakeholder objectives and translate into media strategies
  • Ability to prioritize requests and partner well in an environment with competing demands from stakeholders
