Job Overview


As Legal Affairs Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in providing legal support to OverIT Group’s global business operations. It requires close collaboration with various business functions, especially within the Bid&Tender, Sales and Procurement Business Units.

Responsibilities include drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, offering ongoing legal advice on matters such as Intellectual Property, Privacy, Contractual Liability, and Risk Management. Additionally, the role supports the Chief Legal Officer in corporate secretary activities and cross-border M&A projects, including liaising with external counsel and advisors as necessary. As a part of OverIT’s Legal & Sustainability department the new team member will also engage with sustainability issues across the three key areas of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), both as catalysts for internal transformation and as enthusiastic advocates to our external stakeholders.


We are looking for a skilled professional who has gained experience in legal affairs, coupled with exceptional drafting and negotiating skills. The ideal candidate possesses in-depth legal knowledge, strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to work under pressure and navigate complex legal scenarios with a clear strategic mindset. Passionate about collaborative teamwork, they thrive in dynamic environments, collaborating with different professionals both in-house and externally.


Key Responsibilities


  • Contracts Review and Negotiation : Review, analyze, comment and draft a wide variety of technology and software-related contracts: including cloud agreements, licenses, application development agreements. Assess commercial contracts such as partnerships, referral, and distribution agreements, whether based on international standards or on heavily bespoke forms by customers. Main accountability is to identify and highlight key legal risks in contracts to guide senior management decision-making and protect the Group from liabilities. Lead negotiations with customers serving as the primary point of contact for clarifying and advocating the Group's positions while managing risk exposure.
  • Procurement Contracts : Oversee the drafting, negotiation, review, and commentary on various supply contracts and framework agreements essential for the Group’s Procurement. The primary objective is to fulfill the purchasing department’s objectives and institute a contractual framework safeguarding the Group against supplier breaches. Additionally, develop contract templates as needed and offer guidance on tender processes when necessary.
  • Regulatory Compliance : Ensure the Group complies with relevant laws and regulations in its industry, particularly focusing on obligation regarding the processing of personal data. This entails overseeing compliance practices, drafting corporate policies and procedures, and conducting employee training
  • Dispute Resolution and Claims Defense : Oversee legal issues and claims arising from contract execution, including drafting and negotiating settlement agreements. Conduct legal assessment and implement solutions aligned with business objectives to mitigate the financial exposure and maximize benefits. Additionally, ensure the effective defense of claims in legal proceedings, serving as a liaison between internal departments and external law firms representing the Group.
  • Legal Guidance and Strategic Insight : Provide professional and credible legal advice and support on diverse matters such as contractual affairs, legal due diligence, business frameworks, privacy compliance and criminal and administrative responsibility of legal entities, through verbal and written opinions. Proactively stay abreast of new rules, regulations and trends in the industry and region. Anticipate and identify legal issues relevant to the Group and develop legal strategies and solutions, even in high-risk situations with limited time for assessing alternatives.
  • Legal PMO : Special projects and other duties, as assigned.



Requirements and Skills


  • Master degree in law from an accredited institution.
  • 4+ years post-qualification experience in reputable international law firms; in-house experience is appreciated but not required;
  • Fluent in English (both verbal and written), with proficiency in a third language preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to understand complex legal concepts and translate them for non-legal stakeholders.
  • Effective communication skills across various contexts, including peer-to-peer and cross-departmental interaction.
  • Quality-driven mindset with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proactive and solution oriented approach, viewing obstacles as opportunities for innovative thinking.
  • Experience managing a high volume of contract reviews, drafting, and negotiations.
  • Stamina to handle continuous interactions with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills for handling complex information and data.
  • Demonstrated sound and independent judgment, prudence and maturity.
  • Capacity to receive feedback and contribute to a feedback culture.
  • Customer-focus approach with a constructive problem-solving style that bridges alliances within the organization.
  • Preference for experience in software industry.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed
