Wood Rodgers, a leading engineering consulting firm, is hiring a Human Resources Manager to join our Human Resources Department located in Roseville, CA. We are seeking someone that enjoys planning, directing, coordinating, and implementing HR management activities.

A day in the life as a Wood Rodgers’ HR Manager:

While There Is No Typical Day In HR Management (which Is Part Of The Excitement Of Working In HR), There Are a Few Things That You Can Count On

  • Facilitating successful new hire onboarding procedures from post offer to first day of orientation.
  • Managing all employee benefit programs, both planning (managing) and implementing (explaining).
  • Administering leaves of absence for compliance and timeliness of documentation.
  • Maintaining HRIS and personnel files.
  • Handling Workers’ Compensation reporting, management and follow up.

Of course, you also get to collaborate with the HR Team, and other departments, on HR opportunities and challenges: health & safety, conflict management, performance management, employee training, policy development, compliance, discipline and termination, and supporting recruitment and retention.

The ante

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience handling essential HR functions as an HR Manager.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, or related field
  • Thorough knowledge of HR functional areas and understanding of legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to travel throughout the state of California and Nevada; overnight travel required occasionally.

It is our expectation that the salary will be somewhere in the middle of this range.

This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential and can fluctuate above or below the posted range. If there is an offer, the salary presented will consider several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, and training. Base pay is just one piece of the compensation package offered by Wood Rodgers.
