We are currently seeking an experienced frontend developer to join our multi-disciplinary development team for Detekt on our journey to develop a brand-new AI-based SaaS product.

Job Description

  • Application ownership: Take charge of our Viewer application, a platform akin to Google Street View, enabling visualization across diverse layers. Seamlessly navigate through planar images, 360° visuals, aerial snapshots, point clouds, and an intuitive interactive map. A demo of the Viewer is accessible at
  • New Developments & Continuous Improvement: Collaboratively design, build, and sustain our customer-centric applications using React as part of the product team. Youll be teaming up with another frontend specialist and will be backed by our skilled backend developers.
  • Data Visualization & Workflows: Engineer innovative data visualization tools and integrate workflows such as annotation functionalities into our product.
  • Development Best Practices: Advocate for and implement superior development processes. Ensure consistency in practices that bolster efficiency and code robustness, including multilevel testing, integration with CI pipelines, browser automation, and more.
  • Technological Exploration: Stay updated with the latest in tech. Feel encouraged to delve into novel technologies and methodologies, with the support of a 30-hour personal time allocation every quarter for exploration and self-improvement.


  • 2+ years of experience as a Front End Developer, UX Designer, or similar role
  • Experience in building single page web applications in JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS
  • Experience with JavaScript UI frameworks like React, Angular, Vue
  • Familiarity with libraries for interactive maps like Leaflet is a plus but not required
  • Basic knowledge of multi-platform development
  • Valid work permit for Austria


  • Enthusiastic, research-driven team with rich expertise in machine learning, computer vision, generative adversarial networks, reinforcement learning as well as distributed training, data engineering, ML ops and cloud architecture
  • Flexible work models: Remote work up to 3 days per week, an office in Viennas 1st district and minimal core hours (9:30am - 2pm)
  • Budget and time allotment (30 hours per quarter) for the pursuit of individual R&D projects, reading group, paid trainings or paid conference participations
