The FP&A Manager role is responsible for leading and managing the financial planning and analysis team and associated processes within the Sales & Marketing function. This role requires extensive experience and expertise in financial analysis, strategic planning, budgeting and reporting. Positioned within the Sales & Marketing function, the role primarily focuses on Revenue, COS, Margin, and OPEX investment required to support Sales & Marketing activity. The FP&A Manager provides financial insights and recommendations to both Financial and non-Financial stakeholders, supporting key decision-making processes. The role sits alongside the business controlling team, reporting to the Head of Finance – Sales & Marketing.

What You'll Do

  • Lead Financial Planning Processes
  • Co-ordinate planning cycles within Sales & Marketing, ensuring alignment with organizational timelines, objectives and goals.
  • Align planning approach with Business Control, defining standard input / output templates while delivering a strong baseline for Business Control to work from.
  • Co-ordinate the development of advanced financial models and scenarios.
  • Co-ordinate the identification and quantification of risks and opportunities.
  • Deliver comprehensive variance and trend analysis vs prior year / prior plan.
  • End accountability for preparation and delivery of Q6/Q8 reporting, highlighting appropriate KPIs, trends, and operational insight.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis
  • Co-ordinate month end close cycles within Sales & Marketing, collaborating with accounting teams as needed to ensure an accurate and timely financial close.
  • Deliver comprehensive variance / trend analysis, identifying areas where remedial action is required, alongside recommendations to address.
  • End accountability for preparation and delivery of month end management reporting, highlighting KPIs, Latest Estimates and operational insight.
  • Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve FP&A processes across Sales & Marketing, leveraging technology and automation where applicable.
  • Implement best practices around financial reporting and forecasting with a constant eye on standardization cross department.
  • Team Leadership
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of financial analysts, ensuring their professional development and optimal performance.

What You Need

  • Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting (or professional equivalent)
  • 7 years experience in the field of FP&A; strong understanding of budgeting / forecasting / financial modeling
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills; ability to translate financial data into actionable recommendations
  • Clear communicator able to effectively work with Financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Strong desire to challenge and simplify existing ways of working
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written)
  • Netherlands-based
