Together. Every day.

CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Environmental Scientist to join our Power – Advanced Energy & Environmental Team from our office in either Colonie, NY or Brooklyn, NY. The individual in this role will work from the office as well as in the field.

YOUR IMPACT

CHA is uniquely qualified to assist any client with environmental services. From initial site characterization through remediation, CHA draws on the expertise of staff team members that possess considerable environmental site assessment and remediation experience. We have been providing environmental consulting services for over 25 years, and we employ a team of approximately 100 scientists and engineers who keep abreast of current regulatory issues.

The Environmental Scientist uses knowledge of environmental projects with scientific analysis to perform multiple routine tasks with little to no direction from a senior level scientist. This individual will conduct field work and analyze data in order to prevent and/or solve environmental problems.

More specifically, duties will include independently implementing study design, generating data, interpreting it, and reviewing and summarizing the data to achieve project goals and identification of the impact on the environment. The Environmental Scientist also assists with the preparation of NEPA documentation, various permits (Section 401, 404, Rule 5, etc.), and mitigation plants.

Additionally, the professional in this role will perform field investigations and research to determine suitability of the project site for proposed use and will provide technical advice and assistance to project engineers on specific geologic, hydrologic, or other scientific aspects and their impact on the environment.

At CHA, you can build a career and find your passion across our diverse business lines and project teams. Being part of CHA means being part of a team of talented professionals, where you’ll find support for your career growth and the opportunity to impact our industry and our communities. Find your “why” at CHA!
