At Maxar Space, our products are vast: from our World View Legion platform for earth observation, to the Power and Propulsion Element (PPE) supporting NASA’s Artemis Program return to the Moon, to our highly reliable 1300/Legion class platform for communications applications.

We are now also designing the next generation of earth imaging satellites and proliferated LEO constellations. Maxar is currently seeking an Electrical Systems Test and Integration Engineer to participate in hands-on spacecraft-level electrical testing activities for Maxar’s World View Legion program, an agile, high-accuracy imaging mission and product line.  You will apply the systems engineering rigor and discipline as you author test requirement documents, test plans, and test procedures. Additionally, you will spend time on our production floor and test facilities with a focus on verification, integration, and validation activities including spacecraft test data review and troubleshooting. We are currently seeking candidates with electrical engineering backgrounds along with a strong foundation in systems testing. Additionally, you may act as an interface and liaison between the customer and systems engineering team to facilitate communication between the two while resolving key system decision issues.

Specifically, you will be responsible for the following:

Author spacecraft-level test requirement documents, test plans, and test procedures

Oversee and perform hands-on spacecraft-level testing

Lead spacecraft or sub-system level troubleshooting activities

Review all spacecraft test data and test results to the customer

Address all spacecraft-level non-compliance reports

Lead MRBs (Material Review Boards)

Support launch base activities and testing prior to spacecraft launch

Minimum Requirements:

Must be a U.S. citizen

Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, Physics, or other technical field with relevant systems engineering experience

5 years of engineering experience with an emphasis in electrical systems testing/verification. A Master's degree may account for two years of work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree or higher in an engineering discipline, Physics, or other technical field.

General understanding of spacecraft design, space environments, and space product life cycles

Experience With Requirements Management Systems (i.e. DOORS, JAMA, Etc.)

Familiarity with software architecture, verification, and validation

Experience with Microsoft Products, including Visio

Experience coding in C, C++, Python, or Matlab & creating software tools for verification activities a plus

Good communication and presentation skills and the ability to work in a team environment

Risk management experience
