Intro And Job Overview

As a DevOps Engineer (DevOps Engineer) you will be responsible for the deployment and maintenance of a cloud-based SaaS solutions. Also responsible for deploying, automating, maintaining, troubleshooting and improving the systems that keep the backend infrastructure running smoothly.

Responsibilities And Duties

  • Deploying, automating, maintaining and managing AWS cloud-based development and production system, to ensure the availability, performance, scalability and security of different environment systems.
  • Hands-on technical experience and a can-do approach towards environment automation / management and continuous improvement.
  • Pre-production Acceptance Testing to help assure the quality of our products / services.
  • System troubleshooting and problem solving across platform and application domains.
  • Ensuring critical system security using best in class cloud security solutions.
  • Should be results oriented, proactive and ready to take ownership of assigned tasks.

Requirements And Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/B.E. or equivalent
  • Overall 2 - 4 years of experience in developing, deploying and maintaining large Amazon AWS based SaaS solutions is required.
  • Must have experience supporting Java-based, Node.js applications in a production environment.
  • Must have experience on AWS Technologies (EC2, RDS, ELB, EBS, S3, VPC, IAM, WAF, CloudWatch, Elastic Search, Elastic Beanstalk, Lambda, EMR)
  • Must have experience on working on AWS Cloud and cloud automation tools (Ansible, CF, Terrraform etc).
  • Good experience of working on Linux/Unix and scripting languages (Bash, Python).
  • Familiarity with standard IT security practices, such as encryption, certificates, and key management with exposure on various security tools (Checkmarx, Whitesource)
  • Experience with NoSQL and relational databases, such as Postgres.
  • Ability to do assist in technical research when necessary to contribute to managing cloud security.
  • Implement & maintain new cloud security technologies to support business and technology solutions.
  • Document processes for daily security operations as and when required.
