The role

As a Data Processor you will predominately be responsible for offshore data processing, with an element of GIS production and charting for the Marine Asset Integrity (MAI) business line.

With a focus on the generation of client deliverables, you will work as part of the offshore data processing team providing the opportunity for you to work overseas and on our vessels. In addition you will support the dedicated Remote Operations Centre team, based in Aberdeen.

While offshore you will be working closely with the team of Surveyors, Engineers, Inspection and ROV personnel to ensure all survey equipment is working effectively and data is collected efficiently and accurately. You will communicate regularly with the team onboard the vessel and when required clients and you will work alongside the MAI Client Deliverables Team based in Aberdeen who will provide ongoing support throughout the project life cycle.

Processing of survey data such as navigation and multibeam echo sounder acquired from Vessel, ROV or AUV survey platforms. Ensuring processed data is suitable for charting, reporting and complies with scope of work. Generating of survey data products compatible with GIS software.

Who We’re Looking For

Degree in earth science or mathematics or extensive industrial experience. Project support with offshore construction projects and offshore inspection, repair and maintenance operations

Knowledge of hydrographic processing software, flexible and willing to travel at short notice to assist offshore or within Fugro group. You have a technical background of working with hydrographic / bathymetric data and processing software.
