We will operate on a Data-as-a-service model, providing Satellite Imagery Datasets and Value added services to serve Geospatial Analytics Companies and Infrastructure enterprises.

Role Description:

As a member of the Data team, you will research, design, implement, optimize and deploy Calibration and Validation of state of the art MSI(Multi-spectral Imagery) imagery for the spaceborne mission of GalaxEye Space. The usual day-to-day tasks include development and testing pipeline for Calibration, Validation, setting up of Quality standards necessary to maintain high quality of MSI Images implementing existing and devising novel methodologies necessary to keep the MSI Imagery up to the necessary defined standards and reviewing performance metrics.


  • Develop, test and deploy various methodologies related to MSI Calibration and Validation
  • Perform Geometric and Radiometric Calibration of MSI imagery
  • Perform field visits for Calibration and Validation utilising various Simen star based approaches
  • Develop software for MSI Calibration and Validation
  • Collaboration with the Data Product team
  • Develop the Algorithm Theoretical Basis Document(ATBD) for in-house MSI sensor
  • Maintain and perform documentation with appropriate quality standards
  • Maintain the MSI Image Quality Standards and perform necessary steps to ensure the standards


  • An ideal candidate would have a PhD in MSI/satellite Optical sensor Calibration/Master’s degree in Optics/Master’s Degree with thesis in Spaceborne Optical Camera calibration/Fellowship with work experience in MSI Calibration. Preferable degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering.3-4 years experience in related field will also suffice.
  • Candidates having work experience in related field from Government Research Labs will be given due preference
  • Candidates having experience with Optical Camera/Sensor Design with ANSYS and a good grasp over sensor modelling.Experience in vicarious calibration approaches
  • Good grasp over core Optical Signal Processing concepts
  • Excellent grasp over Python(preferable)/ C++/MATLAB
  • Preferably good knowledge of Scipy, numpy, matplotlib libraries(not necessary)
  • Basic knowledge of handling geospatial data and Remote sensing and GIS field
  • Knowledge of documentation and code management (Git etc.)
