About The Role

We are seeking a Customer Success Manager for a portfolio of small to medium sized accounts, a newly established segment for Planet. Your mission will be to act as the primary point of contact for customer accounts across a variety of industries and use cases, expanding adoption and driving value realization for your clients. This will involve all stages of the customer lifecycle as you position Planet’s solutions to address your customer needs. This role requires a working knowledge of remote sensing, GIS, and geospatial products in addition to a curious, customer-forward approach. You must be a self-starter with a team-focussed mentality and the ability to multitask, creatively solve problems, and communicate effectively across all levels of an organization.

Impact You’ll Own

  • Build and maintain proven, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Assist customers to expand their usage and adoption of our products
  • Understand key customer use cases and value drivers to identify and pursue expansion opportunities
  • Combine geospatial and industry knowledge to develop and execute on growth strategies
  • Onboarding and training of new clients
  • Process and track customer’s tasking requests
  • Provide excellent customer support, ensure successful delivery of our services, produce timely solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Communicate consistently with clients throughout the contract life-cycle, escalating important issues where needed
  • Work closely with sales representatives and other cross functional teams

What You Bring

  • Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships or projects.
  • Working knowledge of geospatial technologies, GIS, or Remote Sensing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Solid problem solving skills and proactive work style
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize job requirements
  • Experience and interest in identifying and building process improvements

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience with Customer Success Management
  • Experience with Zendesk, JIRA, or comparable ticketing systems
  • Excellent understanding of how various industries engage with remote sensing and geospatial technologies

Compensation

The US base salary range for this full-time position at the commencement of employment is $80,080 - $131,680. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives (commission, bonus and equity). The final salary range is determined by job related experience, skills and location. The range displays our typical hiring range for new hire salaries in US locations only.
