Job Description for Executive / Senior ExecutiveBusiness Development (Domestic Market)

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct market research to identify potential business opportunities and competitive landscape in Indian markets.
  • Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitive intelligence to form business development strategies.

Lead Generation and Prospecting:

  • Identify and qualify potential clients and partners in target markets.
  • Generate leads through various channels such as LinkedIn, Websites, Govt. Directories etc

Account Management & Follow Ups

  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential business opportunities.
  • Do regular follow ups with the potential prospects.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and other stakeholders in Indian market.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Indian clients and partners and address any issues or concerns.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work closely with reporting manager, marketing, and product development teams to align business development efforts with company goals.
  • Coordinate along with reporting manager to manage Indian clients and partners to ensure successful implementation and execution of projects and agreements.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and submit regular reports on business development activities, market trends, and sales performance to reporting manager.
  • Analyse data and metrics to measure the effectiveness of business development initiatives and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Complete the sales lifecycle including prospecting through account closure, project implementation and realisation of payments as per the agreed terms.
  • Be eyes and ears of the company and be alert to capture any market developments that affects companies businesses.


  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or related roles (preferably GIS/ software company).
  • Strong understanding of sales cycle.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication with a hold in English.
  • Willing to travel and independently represent the company with the clients.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration and or MBA (Marketing), or a related field. Experience: 3 years plus of experience in above mentioned role.
