The Opportunity

The Account Manager will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining long term Key Accounts using a consultative approach, building strong relationships with the Key Account portfolio, identify needs and requirements, increase transactional spend and promote our Group services to achieve mutual satisfaction, providing market intelligence and feedback as required to develop new services across the division.

The role will involve:

  • Managing a major account portfolio to exceed growth targets
  • Commercial management of contracts
  • Setting remote and occasionally attending face-to-face client meetings weekly from project reviews through to strategic partnership meetings.
  • Developing long term profitable relationships with customers to ensure full growth potential of your portfolio, and be aware of major strategic changes in key organisations
  • Providing feedback on solutions, the market and competitor activity.
  • Identifying business opportunities and coordinating customer feedback
  • Producing and working to account development plans, quarterly sales presentations, team objectives and the company’s core values

About You

To be successful as the Account Manager you will be able to build and maintain strong relationships with our customers. You will be an exceptional communicator with excellent listening skills and a level headed approach to problem solving.

You will also have/be:

  • Graduate calibre
  • Previous experience in a customer facing role, preferably field sales and account management within the business-to-business sector. Experience of working with government clients would be an advantage.
  • Target orientated with the drive to exceed minimum expectations.
  • Versatility and confidence to communicate effectively from Director/Partner level to Trainee/Administration/IT level
  • Ability to network and build excellent rapport with varied customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to construct and deliver persuasive presentations.
  • Demonstrates good time and diary management skills.
  • A professional approach.
